I'm with you on the cost of sewing. Incredibly expensive. I got a whole load of patterns from my grandma a few months ago and the prices were so much cheaper, I was in partial shock for a while! I guess I am lucky to have the bullring markets only a 20 minute train journey away though! Hope you have fun sewing them up though. At least you'll get to wear something pretty at the end!
