I know that in the sales you’re supposed to buy up classics and basics and ignore the faddy trends that you didn’t buy three months earlier at full price. But while I do use the discounts as a way of stocking up on chic work dresses and nice shoes, I also see sales as a super-cheap way of trying out things I’d never normally give a go – like capes, coulottes and crazy heels. So I’ve put together 20 of my favourite sale finds from both high street and plus size retailers, some of which I’ve already bought, to help you hunt down the best discounts…

    May I put in a good word for the Fever Delilah dress? If you’re pear shaped it does AMAZING things for your curves. I paid full price and still don’t regret it! (See it in action here:

      I must confess it was your photos that made me fall in love with it. Alas, size 14 sold out at all the stockists that have reduced it. But I (finally) took delivery of a Fever Dita dress and a Ruby Belle 2-in-1 dress today – I ordered them from Brand Alley at the beginning of Dec – so my obsession for the brand(s) is sated for now!
