Monday March 30th, 2009 21:42 All change, please!

If you’ve stumbled upon this blog before, you may have noticed a few changes. And by ‘a few changes’ I mean ‘a lot of changes’. I’ve moved the blog over to wordpress, for one, which meant a whole new look to go with it. I’ve only ever dabbled with this platform before so do forgive me if there are any teething problems.

And while we’re on the subject of change, my Twitter followers, plus any who’s had the unfortunate honour of speaking to me in the last week or so, will know that hell has frozen over.

By that, I mean I’m leaving Shiny Media. Nope, I never thought I’d see the day either. I’ve been with them for 3 years as a full time employee and much longer than that as a freelancer, so it’s a big deal for me. If you know the company you’ll know there’s been something of a changing of the guard recently, and I felt it was the right time for me to move on too.

It’s time for a change. Being 25 with only one big job on your CV is slightly limiting, and while I have learned so much and had so many amazing experiences during my time at Shiny (not to mention being able to see my baby grow into such a huge site) everyone needs to move on eventually. I realise this is a big 360 from the whole ‘I’m going four days a week’ revelation of recent weeks, but what can I say? In between that and now I got made an offer I couldn’t resist.

I’m very, very excited about my new job, which I’ll tell you all about shortly once I’m there and settled. I’ll still be working online, but I won’t be blogging. I’ll be talking about fashion, but I won’t be a fashion editor.

The plot thickens!

The fact that I even like this is testament to why I currently live alone. I’m getting it all out of the way until I have to compromise and tame the inner WAG.

About Me

I'm an online fashion and beauty writer based in London with a penchant for retro lingerie, tea dresses and overpriced cosmetics. By day, I work as editor in chief at Aigua Media. By night I drink wine and occasionally update BigGirlsBrowse.com.

The rumours are true. I am now reappearing at Catwalk Queen after a two and a half year break!
